Abba in the Arundel Festival, Antiques & Interiors & Other Stuff

Well, not the REAL Abba of course.

Although........ Benny Andersson used to keep
his racehorses at the John Dunlop stables here in Arundel.

Not sure that counts.

I often saw Dunlop's horses riding
through the park on my morning walks.

Such a beautiful sight.

However...back to Abba...but not the real one...

One of the great evenings of the Arundel Festival
is put on by the Kings Arms in Tarrant Street.

It's gone from strength to strength

Crikey...now they even have a road closure, so they surely have made it.

In the past the crowds  all
stepped to one side when cars came though.

Alison from The Kings Arms was on traffic duty.

Must have been a long evening for her.

And it interrupted the ambience a bit.
Stepping backwards and forwards, not even in time to the music.

When we arrived in Tarrant Street last night it was still light and the crowds were gathering.

Some dressed up.

It's when darkness falls that the atmosphere cranks up a notch.

...........and maybe when the wine kicks in.
Who knows?
An amalgamation of both?

There's wonderful food on the Boca Loca van
We see loads of people we know.
It's one big party.

Well done Charlie and Alison.

Another fantastic Kings Arms event.

The festival runs until Monday night.

I haven't managed to see much of the Gallery Trail.
Must remedy that over the weekend.

If you have never seen it...now is the time to.
There's wonderful work out there.

Arundel 10K

On Sunday Nass is running in the 10K

I'm told its not the easiest.
What do I know? I'm not a runner.
I like to walk over those hills with an audible book plugged into my headphones.

Well, Nass is determined he wants run it.

Even if he winds up walking the last few K.

I worry his legs will let him down.
That he will fall, as he sometimes does.
And not get up.

Here's the whole story if you've got a few minutes to spare

Nass says Catie Ross and The Brain Tumour Charity are special.

He just says he will do it.

So he will.

If you would like to sponsor him

Our Warehouse

We are open every day of the festival.
10-5
Down the alley next to William Hill and turn left.

Now, maybe you can help.

We have rather naughtily put signs on the bridge.
To let folks know where we are.
We are rather hidden away.

It's made all the difference....but.....
The council have given us a few days to remove them.

Anyone know who we go to to get legit signage?
Can't get any replies on this from the council.....which is why
we put them there in the first place n'est pas?
